One of the things we make a priority at Hillside Lawn Service is our commitment to the communities in which we do business. Our need to give back comes from the generosity we experience through our clients – both business and residential.

Recently, we were one of the sponsors of the 8th Annual Arts Festival at Harford Day School, a juried exhibit and sale for the school’s fundraising efforts. This November’s event began with a Preview Party for guests to purchase artwork from both commissioned artists and students. The party also featured food from local restaurants and some great entertainment. The show itself was open to the public on Saturday afternoon, and drew hundreds of visitors – both Harford Day families and community art aficionados. The “fun day” included gallery exhibits as well as face painting, puppet shows and hands-on arts and crafts for kids. Live music was provided by the Maryland Conservatory.

We were proud to be a sponsor of this memorable event and wish Harford Day School continued success in providing quality education to its students.

As the crisp, cool autumn air nips our noses, everyone is back into a busy routine of school, business, sports, and activities. While the day-to-day routines are the fabric of our lives, it’s the various activities that make us even more a part of our communities. We know this positively when we volunteer at our child’s school, our church or at a youth sporting event. Without volunteers, there would be no youth football, youth soccer or fall baseball. There would be no church festival or school parties.

At Hillside Lawn Service, we salute the spirit of volunteerism and community organizations. By giving back to the communities that our customers call home, we hope to demonstrate a commitment to volunteering and to those organizations that make up our community. We support local schools, hospitals, sporting teams and museums in Harford County. We salute volunteers of all ages, and encourage you to take some time this fall to give back to your community.
