We keep your lawn green and grub free.
Grubs are the larvae stage of various types of beetles. They can feed on the root system of your lawn in late summer. If you notice beetles in your landscape, then you have the possibility of a grub infestation in your lawn. The damage shows up as large brown areas of turf, which can be rolled up like carpet. The white or grayish c-shaped grub will be present under the dead turf. Grubworms are most active in late summer. The Japanese Beetle grub is the most common and destructive type in our region.
Plant Characteristics
HillSide applies the highest quality grub control available, which kills the grubs when they begin feeding. If grubs are known to be a problem, then an application of grub control is needed on an annual basis. HillSide can time your application for optimal results.
You can avoid grubs by choosing a turf-type grass variety, which is resistant or undesirable to grubs. Tall Fescue is an excellent choice.
An annual application of grub control by HillSide is always a good idea if grubs are suspected.
